Fall is in the air . . . and on the ground

I had a wonderful time at the Townsend Autumn Leaves Arts & Crafts Show last weekend at Nawger Nob. After a couple mini-rain showers (5 minutes or less) on Saturday, the weather was optimal for a large crowd the whole weekend. AND – there was a large crowd on Saturday. My husband didn’t even leave to pick us up some lunch (we ate some yummy barbeque there)!

It was the perfect venue for Smoky Mountain Leaf Works as a breeze blew leaves onto the top of our canopy and created a lovely display. As they fell, some landed on my tables and the ground nearby and we just left them there for more ambiance.

Everyone – and I mean everyone – loved my leaf art. There were many lookey-loos and quite a    few people stopped in to browse and chat. I made a consignment contact and gathered some interesting information about an artist-in-residence program for a nearby school system. Hmmmm. Several other vendors shared the names of upcoming shows to consider. I am probably going to do a small show on November 3. I’ll keep you posted about that one.
